LRT Mt. Hood Summer Ski Camp

Mt Hood Summer Ski Camp 2016

Location: Palmer Snow Field on Mt Hood, Oregon

Providing the only reliable summer skiing opportunity in North America, Mt Hood is the hub of skiing in the United States for three months every summer. It is not uncommon for our athletes to ski along side National team members during the camp. The Palmer glacier provides nearly 4,000 vertical feet of skiing with varied terrain available that allows the staff to work on all aspects of the athletes skiing. Mt Hood is a stunning natural wonder, with the base of the ski area being the amazing Timberline Lodge, a National Historic landmark. Our hosts, Mt Hood Summer Ski Camps, is the most established organization on the glacier and this relationship allows our athletes access to the best possible training lanes each day. While at camp we will have daily access to all of next years race equipment for free! Staff will work with each athlete to ensure the testing environment is ideal for the proper selection of next year’s race set up. One of the best things about Mt Hood, aside from the skiing, is the plethora of daily activities that are available to the camper’s everyday. Once off the hill the kids have a chance to go white water rafting on the Salmon River, rock climbing, hiking to beautiful waterfalls, mtn biking, field sports and test their courage at the local cliff diving spot known as the “Punch Bowl”. All activities included! The cost of the camp includes everything but airfare. The opportunity to travel with staff is an option.
